An age-old macramé technique has been given a contemporary update with the Orb Table Lamp. Aimee uses Josephine knots to produce a striking symmetrical pattern over the spherical form, with a nod to fishnet bottles. This knot is part of the basket weave family and known for its strength. The wooden base is hand turned on a lathe in Gloucestershire and finished in Aimee’s studio in Berkshire. The tactile leather cord contrasts with the hand-painted surface below, creating a graphic pattern and a contemporary look.
