The Ricasso Spindle Lace Table Lamp is an elegant stem-like form with a hand-braided surface. Aimee uses intricate interlacing stitches to bind strips of leather and cord together to produce a delicate lace effect that contrasts with the timber below. The braiding technique is inspired by European Sword Handles from the Wallace Collection, London. The wooden base is hand turned on a lathe in Gloucestershire and finished in Aimee’s studio in Berkshire.
